| Life has its laws. But unaware of
the laws and their implications and consequences, so many of us can only
manage to muddle through life, not really knowing what we are doing or
where we are going. Life is not what most people understand it to be, not
what we have been taught from birth. And yet, that which we do not know
or know very little about are precisely the things that materially impact
the course of our lives. If we could only know what the laws are, then
certainly, we would be able to live our lives more purposefully and profitably
take fuller advantage of the valuable opportunities provided us for soul
growth.
There is always a good reason why we
find ourselves in a particular situation and circumstance. We should begin
to look at things from a higher standpoint, from God's point of view and
not the world's, because "the knowledge of the world is foolishness." Spirit
being ascendant over matter, we should lean more to the spiritual. Only
then will we be able to see things, not as they appear to ignorant men
caught up in the illusion of things, but as they really are from the Spirit
point of view.
INNER QUEST
can help. In response to your requests, we can introduce and cite the particular
divine principles in operation bearing on your particular situation. We
can explain them and clarify their implications. We can also point out
the karmic consequences and help you to identify the applicable alternative
courses of action.
However, unlike the common practice
of some priests and moralists, today, it is not our place to pass judgment
or to tell anyone to do a particular thing or choose any particular course
of action. Each person must exercise his own free will. Having done our
best to help clarify the issue, we then leave the person undergoing counseling
free to determine for himself what is true and right for him in his situation
and allow him to make his own decisions.
In light of Reincarnation and the New
Teachings, our whole way of looking at life and the circumstances we encounter
will change. Where before, we believed that we live only once and cannot
avoid committing sins making it necessary for Christ to save us, now, life
continues without end, and so are our opportunities to make things right
through our own efforts. We must therefore persist in doing right or suffer
every consequence of our misdeeds. It is alright to commit errors or sins,
but we should learn from them. They are necessary parts of growing up.
God understands and He loves us despite our temporary failures. He knows
that in the end, after we have completely learned all our lessons, then
we can truly become the perfected sons and daughters that He intended us
to be.
In many situations that we find ourselves
in, many believe falsely that they are committing sins against God when,
in fact, they are only doing what comes naturally and should be considered
normal for us, given our particular stage of development. Because we are
still children spirits, we commit harm like little children commit mischievous
acts, in their innocence and without malice. Nevertheless, all debts must
be paid. All errors set right. But we will learn, in the end.
Some feel that sex is bad, that being
gay or lesbian is evil. Some believe that their sins can never be forgiven.
They think themselves so soiled that they can never be clean again or right
with God again. We entertain so many false beliefs and superstitions. We
practice so many foolish rituals, ceremonies, abstinences and observances,
which are not at all necessary, even. All these falsehoods may equally
be addressed.
Many other people are themselves in
the same situation as those who seek counseling. So that they may also
be helped, INNER QUEST intends to publish
in full or in part, those requests and replies that may be of use to them
in the form of a periodic free circulation digest.
However, all requests for counseling
will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. Moreover, the person seeking
counseling will remain anonymous and while he may transmit a return email
address, at no time will he be required to identify himself. Should any
person choose to identify himself to INNER QUEST,
his identity shall nevertheless be kept secret unless he expressly allows
it to be revealed.
The important thing is to realize that
God loves you. He understands all that you are going through in
your life. Everything is all right. And you are doing just fine. Nothing
is wrong. And nothing can go wrong because God is in control. All the opportunities
we need are forthcoming. However grave the wrong we may have done, we can
make up for them, later on. We are just learning lessons and undergoing
the normal and natural process of growing up into fully responsible and
mature adult spirits. If you do not realize these truths as yet, you should.
Strive to be more open to God’s guidance.
