Our
objective is to provide a venue for continuous interaction and sharing by
everyone who has attained to some understanding of the Truth and now wants to
share his knowledge to others who as yet do not understand but want to. All
the pressing questions and concerns of beginners to these studies can here be
addressed most effectively, serving to orient them to the Spirit side of life.
Many misconceptions and false teachings can be clarified and the lost can be
guided back to the right path. And to everyone else, no matter where they may
be situated on the scale of evolution, this facility can serve as a source of
continuing education.
Everyday, we are bombarded with half-truths and outright falsehoods. Not
knowing any better, many look at life only from the lower worldly perspective.
But the spiritual aspects of life in fact supersede material and physical
considerations. Hence we really should be better informed concerning the more
spiritual side of life.
There is so much that can be discussed here. Heaven and Earth are worlds
apart. There are so many instances where men’s thoughts depart from God’s
thoughts. So of course, in the beginning, not yet grounded in the higher
spiritual principles, many will disagree with our teachings. The Truth from
God’s point of view is so very different, so far divorced from physical
reality. But this is what we should consider — if we want to understand, if
we want to be truly free. Anyone can begin to understand these principles
provided he studies.
Jesus
showed us the way. But we have to save our own selves by doing everything
necessary. The practice of monogamy or polygamy, the manner in which we bring
up our children, whether to indulge in premarital sex, committing to abortion,
gambling and losing, imbibing alcohol and drugs or submitting to euthanasia,
just as the way we comb or tint our hair should be a matter of personal
choice, free from the dictates of society or religion. We learn and gain
spiritually from every human activity.
And
right or wrong in the eyes of others, any decision to be made should
rightfully be left to those who are most affected. All other interested
parties are free to educate and suggest to us, but no one should impose
against our free will. Our freedom to choose for ourselves should be preserved
and it’s perfectly all right for us to be different from others. Neither
should marriage be like a prison with onerous obligatory restrictions.
Instead, with or without a marriage certificate, the union of hearts should be
a voluntary and free expression of love and affection. To be gay or lesbian is
not a sin or wrong but is natural to us, even as it is only a temporary
earthly condition.
The
high incidence of crime and the many injustices we suffer teach us to favor
goodness over evil; harm comes only to the physical body but our spirit selves
learn and evolve. In spite of the exploitation, the practice of child labor
can also be a very advantageous situation for those spirit entities involved,
contributing greatly to their early development. Worldly success does not
translate to spiritual success, this latter is subject to different
considerations. All these and many others are explained more fully in the
Study Courses but they can also be taken up in the discussion lists for
everyone’s enlightenment.
There will be no editing of the postings and, most certainly, they will not be
censored as to content or ideas, even if the thoughts expressed therein should
be contrary to the stand of INNER
QUEST. Everyone is entitled to free expression and the freedom to
his own beliefs. All sides should be heard, because only then can anyone
arrive at an informed decision. In addition, any form of censorship is a
curtailment or suppression of some basic human right, and therefore, should
not be encouraged. Instead, total freedom with matching responsibility should
be preferred.
Spamming
and the use of offensive language will, however, not be allowed and persistent
violators of the rules on proper netiquette will be banned. Still, it is our
position that even on his own, without help from government intervention and
in the absence of any established authority, man can arrive at a solution that
will bring order to conditions of anarchy and chaos. Just look at the
Internet.
In any and all cases, Truth needs no defense. Truth is its own defense.
